This is an excellent sat nav unit. The widescreen really does make a difference when driving and its clarity is complemented by the voice annoucements which are both well timed and "nicely spoken" in an English accent. The traffic management reception is also good and when details of a hold up are received the unit quickly recalculates your route. Unlike the majority of sat navs with traffic update receivers the traffic receiver is integrated into the main unit rather than being a separate cord to juggle with. The mapping is Navteq and bang up to date as this model only came out at the tail end of 2007. The unit also comes with quality accessories including an excellent cradle/surface mount and a leather case. In addition, there is lots to discover about this unit - its MP3 and SD photo/audio capabilities, Cyclops safety camera database and security features. Two particularly useful aspects are the ability to connect wirelessly and make annoucements through your car stereo and simple but effective Bluetooth handling for most mobile phones.
Overall, the 710T is hard to fault and the performance of this unit suggests sat nav really has come of age. Recommended.
