I cant understand why some people have been so negative about this MP3 player! I think its an excellent product and i would definitely buy the same one again if mine broke down. I got mine last year in Argos and it was the best £100 ive spent in a long time.

Well what can I say I bought the unit in May and currently in the process of getting a refund on it as I write this review.

Pros. Well there is not many, you get what you pay for[...]. I am by no means a car system person...all I want it a simple cheap cd player that plays mp3's while I drive to work and this unit does that (just about). Its easy to connect (even for me) and comes with a remote control.

Cons. The sound is not very good at all, and the player had a problem playing normal CD's (not copies or mp3's just ones from HMV)..Also it takes about a minute or two, to start playing a cd..its really drives you crazy when you just want to pop to the local shop and the whole time the unit displays "reading" on the display panel.

Te reason I am returning this unit back is, after a 4 months its just stopped working all together!

On the whole if you want something cheap and cheerful then buy it but dont be shocked when it stops working as it is very cheap! I think you should spend the extra £5 or £10 and get something a lot better!

Ok, so the unit cost under £60 - BARGAIN! Ok, so its a Goodmans so you dont expect it to be "all singing, all dancing". Anyway, recieved it last night and had it installed in my car in no time. Played around with a few settings for a bit. Found navigating mp3 CD's a real pain. Some standard features such as setting the bass and treble levels was not obvious and I dont recall seeing anything about it in the instruction manual. Listening to an mp3 CD on the way to work this morning all was well. Until after approx 40 minutes the music started freezing, skipping and had any awful digital noise. First thought was that the CD (newly burnt the night before) was damaged or that the track(s) had not ripped properly from the original audio CD. Apparently not as I tried playing a few mp3's that had played perfectly well 30 minutes before.
Conclusion: Nice try Goodmans, but this is not even worth the £56 that I paid. The unit is going back to Amazon and I shall stop being "tight" and will invest in a decent reliable unit - probably a Kenwood or Pioneer.
