Brilliant device.

Having tried and failed to use those fiddly in-ear piece things I saw this on an offer and thought I'd give it a go.

It's nicely packaged and comes with every wire and connector that you need - none of this "oh we've put the sockets in the device but aren't supplying you the wires" malarky. The battery has a 250 hour stand by time and charges in just three hours. All in all the unit is about the size of your average Nokia phone - just about twice the thickness though.

The thing with those hang-on-your-ear things is that:
a) if you're driving along and want to wear sunglasses they are a pain; and
b) you look like a complete idiot.

This however, just clips on to the sun visor and away you go. Everything's done through a multi-function button that's decently sized, so no more fiddling about trying to press a tiddly button whilst you're driving along.

And the best bit? Well, if like me, you live in an area where the mobile signal strength is a bit ropey (yes these places do still exist) and everytime you pick up your mobile to answer, it cuts out - well this device has an integral desk stand. It's fair to say that i've had more use out of this unit whilst sitting at home than in the car. It's just so brilliantly simple!

Not only has it made me comply with the law whilst driving it's giving me the freedom to use my mobile at home.

Yes they may make newer ones that do this that and the other for you, but what are you buying this unit for? To make a cup of tea, tell you the time and what the weather is doing in Tokyo? No.

You're buying it to make a telephone call, and for that it's perfect.
