OK, don't expect too much - 13 Jul 2007

Bought this about an year ago. I don't use this everyday and take this only when going to visit someone etc. The GPS unit seems OK, being Sony make but the mapping software leaves a lot of refinement. It get really confused when re-routing is required (like you going to a service station on motorway) The voice instructions (espescially in towns) are given right at the end and you don't get time to do it without braking sharply and potentially causing accidents. Also, the screen 'hung ' a few times needing resetting the unit. It won't eliminate the use of the good old orad maps and the need for homework before setting off.
Exactly What It Says On The Box - 12 Oct 2006

The Sony navigation unit has proved to be a very useful tool. On the plus size:
+ easy to use once you understand the input system
+ very fast recalculation on the move
+ easy to read mapping
+ compact but not so small as to be fiddly to use
it does however have a few disadvantages
- battery life is poor, so best leave it in the cradle and on charge when in the car
- although the spoken instructions are given in plenty of time, the voice is faint and easily drowned out at speed or with the radio on
- occassional glitch in mapping (such as trying to send us down the onramp of the M3)
On the whole though a solid product which does exactly the job asked of it
